Non-target analysis of organic waste amended agricultural soils: Characterization of added organic pollution

چکیده
Amendment of soil with organic urban and animal wastes can keep arable fertile without the need for synthetic fertilizers. However, pollutants present in these types waste might be carried into unintended consequences environment. We studied an experimental agricultural plot, which had been amended either inorganic fertilizers, human urine, manure, or wastewater treatment sludge at very high rates. applied chemical non-target analysis to characterize micropollutants, intending compare treatments highlight suspects environmental concern. Soil samples were prepared by pressurized liquid purified solid-phase extraction before nanoflow ultra-high performance chromatography coupled high-resolution Orbitrap tandem mass spectrometry. Automated elucidation two spectral libraries, multiple large databases NORMAN suspect lists was able annotate (level 3 level 2) ? 20% 2306 detected features. A following principal component- differential-analysis could separate groups’ pollution profiles relative abundance From cattle natural compounds such as bile acids steroids found. Human urine led common pharmaceuticals metoprolol propranolol. The highest number added sludge, 25 significant contaminants, spanning blood pressure regulators, antidepressants, sleep medication. Furthermore, using Kendrick defect plots, a series polypropylene glycols revealed soil. Non-target appears promising method soils.

Sorption, degradation and leaching of pesticides in soils amended with organic matter: A review
The use of pesticides in modern agriculture is unavoidable because they are required to control weeds. Pesticides are poisonous; hence, they are dangerous if misused. Understanding the fate of pesticides will be useful to use them safely. Therefore, contaminations of water and soil resources could be avoided. The fates of pesticides in soils are influenced by their sorption, decomposition and m...
متن کاملS-Metolachlor sorption in soils amended with olive oil residues: effect of organic waste transformation
Herbicides are the main type of pesticides causing water contamination. The chloroacetanilide herbicide Smetolachlor is frequently detected in ground and surface waters, and represents a potential source of water pollution. The addition of organic residues to soils to reduce losses of organic pollutants constitutes sometimes an efficient method to control contamination. One of the recent techno...
متن کاملGreenhouse gas fluxes in agricultural soils under organic and non-organic management
Farming practices are known to exert strong control over the soils’ function to act as sources or sinks for greenhouse gases (GHG). A recent meta-analysis based on the evaluation of 74 published long-term system comparisons provides a comprehensive data base regarding soil organic matter development (SOM) and C sequestration potential of organic systems (Gattinger et al., 2012). Furthermore, th...

15 صفحه اولInfluence of Dissolved Organic Matter on the Solubility of Heavy Metals in Sewage-Sludge-Amended Soils
Sewage-sludge-amended soils generally contain elevated levels of organic matter and heavy metals compared to control soils. Because organic matter is known to complex with heavy metals, the solubility behavior of the organic matter in such soils may exert a significant influence on the solubility of the metals. Little is known about such a process. Using batch experiments in which the solubilit...
